Abstract EN

This research includes a brief introduction to Ibn Hazm emphasizing the issues on which he agrees with Imam Ahmed and those on which he disagrees with him showing the reasons for concurrence or disagreement.

The research also displays the approach applied by Ibn Hazm in his discussion of Imam Ahmed jurisprudential views and the resources in which he traced them.

The research has found out that Ibn Hazm glorifies Imam Ahmed to the extent that he referred to around three hundred and sixty issues for the Imam; in one hundred and seventy-three of them, he agreed with the Imam while in one hundred and thirty- three he disagreed with him.

In addition, Ibn Hazm has read the issues of Imam Ahmed through the narration of his son Abdullah and he also narrated them.

Moreover, Ibn Hazm has proved a narration for Imam Ahmed through the authentic book of Bukhari and recommended studying the (narrations of Imam Ahmed which are missing in the book of Enssaf whose author is called Al-Merdawi).

Finally, he recommended studying the jurisprudential issues in which he disagreed with Imam Ahmed.
