Abstract EN

This study is based on addressing the phenomenon of Stopping and explaining its concept and dimensions and its relationship with the linguistic lesson and its different forms.

The Waqf phenomenon has moved from being a linguistic issue that is included in the subject of language to an independent science itself, called "the science of endowment and initiation" by the readers of the Holy Qur'an, and has become an original topic of the Quranic readings.

This phenomenon has been combined with a number of linguistic formats, towards sound, morphology, grammar, significance, rhetoric, calligraphy and punctuation.

The picture of the Stopping changes with the multiplicity of the format in which it appears.

This study came in seven sections without the introduction to study the phenomenon of stopping with each pattern separately, to clarify the specificity of the phenomenon on the one hand, and to reveal its limits and features on the other.
