إن اللغة ظاهرة اجتماعية لا تستطيع أن تعيش و تنمو و تتطور بمعزل عن غيرها من اللغات و لكنها تتفاعل مع غيرها و تتبادل التأثير و التأثر فتعطي و تأخذ و إذا أمعنا النظر في لغتنا العربية وجدنا فيها الكثير من الألفاظ الأعجمية من مختلف اللغات و هذه نتيجة طبيعية للتبادل الثقافي و الحضاري بين لغتنا وغيرها من اللغات.
وبالنظر في معجم المحكم و المحيط الأعظم لابن سيده الأندلسي وجدته قد حوى الكثير من الألفاظ الأعجمية فقمت برصدها وتوظيفها دلاليا و معرفة أصولها التي انحدرت منها و إرجاع كل لفظ إلى لغته التي أخذ منها و ما حدث فيه من تغيير.
