Abstract EN

This study aims to highlight the relationship between test anxiety and academic achievement in the baccalaureate exam.

The study sample consisted of267pupils in the third year of secondary school (123 males and 144 females).

The random was selected from two public secondary schools from the Willaya of Bechar.

The Anxiety and inventory test of (Spielberger, 1980) was used to measure test anxiety and its two components worry and emotionality, while the grade point average of the Baccalaureate results were gathered from the official lists of the educational institutions.

Finally, the study results revealed a negative correlation between test anxiety and academic achievement especially in its cognitive component (Worry).
