different grammatical views of the Arab linguist Younis ibn Habib as stated in his book “ Sibawayhee “.

In other words, the study intends to explore Ibn -Habeeb's perspectives and ideas on Arabic grammar in order to further scrutinize and elaborate them.

What actually lead the researcher to write this paper is insufficiency of the amount of grammatical books that explore Ibn-Habeeb ideas about Arabic grammar.

These ideas are basically expressed throughout many of his different works particularly the book entitled “Sibawayhee“ which raises a lot of research.

Ibn- Habeeb's' opinions on Arabic grammar as introduced in his book “Sibawayhee”are extremely varied.

For instance, although he had developed his own unique approach to Arabic grammar, a lot of his insights and viewpoints correspond directly to Alkwofa school of grammar and match many other similar views developed by some other prominent Arab grammarians such as Al-Khalil ibn Ahmad, Abu-Amr Alaa and Sibawayhee.

Moreover, Ibn –Habeeb reported a lot of models and examples as grammatical evidences concerning different aspects of Arabic language grammar.

The present study starts in its first section with historical overview of Arabic grammar and its schools while successive sections are wholly devoted to provide a brief account of Ibn-Habeeb and to review his significant views and opinions on Arabic Grammar.

Finally, the study concluded with results and recommendations.
