Effect of fiscal policy tools on the productivity of the industrial sector in Algeria : empirical study-1970-2018

This study aims to analyze the impact of fiscal policy on the industrial sector in Algeria for the period 1970-2018, using the ARDL model.

The results found that public spending has a positive impact on the industrial sector in the short- run, but becomes negative in the long-run.

As for direct taxes, we found that it has a positive relationship with the production of the industrial sector in the short and long-run.

For indirect taxes, has a negative effect on the model in the short-run, but do not continue effect in the long-run.

Public debt, fiscal deficits have a negative impact on the industrial sector in Algeria.
