The effect of fiscal multiplier on economy : case of algeria

This research paper aimed to analyze the effects of fiscal policy on economic activity through the role of the tax multiplier of fiscal policy in Algeria.

The standard segment is based on (SVAR) model attributed to (Blanchard-Perotti) that uses information on the institutional characteristics of the system, and the analysis is performed on quarterly data for total expenditures and indirect taxes for the central, unified, public, and overall unified government From 2004-2019.

The results show that our initial assumptions about the difference in the size of the multiplier were confirmed by government expenditures and indirect tax revenue
