The aim of this research is to identify the differences in some cognitive abilities between the players of football and basketball teams, University of Duhok.

The researcher used the descriptive method in comparison method.

• Basketball players excelled in the cognitive tests (sense-kinetics) for the distance and the horizontal and vertical space of the arm, when compared with football players.

• There were no differences between the football players and basketball players in the tests of perception- kinesthetic distance of jump and perception (sense-kinesthetic) of the distance and vertical space of the foot.
