الملخص EN

The Functionalist Polysystem theory developed by Itamar Even-Zohar, professor and researcher at Tel Aviv University, has managed to single itself out as one the best possible approaches one can adopt to set the translational process free from the “primitive” framework of mere linguistic analysis leading to the exclusion vital elements such as the audience, the author and the socio-politic-cultural atmospheres in both the source and target cultures.

In a primary stage, the present paper sheds some more light on the current understanding of polysystem theory.

How can literary and religious translation that involves a bunch of serious systems like religion, literature and societies on both sides of the bridge, benefit from polysystem theory findings? A question this paper tries to answer.

More specifically, this paper investigates into the possibility of building a solid analytical approach that could lead to more improvements in literary and religious translational processes.
