الملخص EN

Objective: To describe contraceptive methods used at certain family planning clinics. Methods: A total of 510 women attending family planning clinics at Prince Hashem Bin Al Hussein Hospital, Zarqa, were included in the study. Results: The contraceptive use rate among family planning clinics attendants was 81%.

Illiterates were the least users of contraceptive method (7%).

Pills were the most commonly used method (63%).

The most common reason for stopping contraception was pregnancy (43.5%). Conclusion: The frequency of contraceptive users in our study is relatively high in comparison with other studies; therefore the relevant programs working for family planning are more or less effective and need to be continued
