Since the attainment of independence, A majority of the algerian people (urban and rural inhabitant) are relied heavily on oil, natural gas as a vital sources.

This kind of energy is depending on lots of resources that will be shortly depleted, which in turn makes them too expensive or too environmentally damaging to recover.

This paper discusses the renewable enery possibilities for algeria, and try to highlight the most promising programs for renewable energies and energy efficiency development
