تعد حوادث المرور أحد أهم الأسباب الرئيسية للوفيات و الإصابة بالأمراض في العالم.
في الجزائر ، وصل ما يسميه البعض إرهاب الطرقات" إلى عدد لا يستهان به من الضحايا بالإضافة إلى أضرار مادية كبيرة )عواقب اقتصادية(.
تعد حوادث الطرق على أيامنا، رهان رئيسي للصحة العمومية على المستوى الوطني.
عزابة )شمال شرق الجزائر( ، تقع عند تقاطع محاور ميكانيكية ديناميكية تتخللها حركة مرورية دائمة و كذا شبكة طرق حضرية كبرى، إذ تعرف المدينة حوادث مرور داخل نسيجها العمراني و خارجه.
حيث تستقبل مصالح الاستعجالات للمؤسسة العمومية الاستشفائية و بصفة يومية جرحى و ضحايا الحوادث، يتم إجلاء بعضهم في حالة خطيرة نحو الهياكل الصحية الكبرى بمدينة عنابة للتكفل بها، و عليه تم طرح التساؤلات الجوهرية التالية: ما هي الأسباب المتعددة لهذه الآفة المدمرة للتراث البشري و المادي؟ كيف السبيل للتخفيف من وطأة حوادث المرور قصد استخدام أفضل للطريق؟

The road accidents will be one of the main causes of mortality and morbidity in the world.
In Algeria, what some called "terrorism of the road" has reached a significant number of victims as well as considerable material damage.
Road accidents are now a major public health.
Azzaba, located at the intersection of dynamic mechanical axes with a major urban road network has known accidents in and out of the city.
Hospital emergency services receive daily victims, some of them in serious condition are evacuated to the hospital structures of Annaba.
So, the following questions challenge us: What are the multiple determinants of this destructive scourge of human and material heritage? How to stop accidents for better use of the road?

Les accidents de la circulation sont l'une des principales causes de mortalité et de morbidité dans le monde.
En Algérie, ce que certains appellent « terrorisme de la route » a atteint un nombre non négligeable de victimes ainsi que des dégâts matériels considérables (conséquences économiques).
Les accidents de la route constituent aujourd'hui, un enjeu majeur de santé publique à l'échelle nationale.
Azzaba (Nord-Est algérien), située à l'intersection d'axes mécaniques dynamiques avec un réseau routier urbain important a connu des accidents dans et hors la ville.
Les services d'urgence de l'Etablissement Public Hospitalier (EPH) reçoivent quotidiennement des victimes dont certaines en état grave sont évacuées vers les structures hospitalières d'Annaba.
A cet effet, les questionnements suivants nous interpellent: Quels sont les déterminants de ce fléau destructeur du patrimoine humain et matériel? Comment freiner les accidents pour un meilleur usage de la route?
