The United Nations incorporated attention to slums in the Millennium Development Goals as part of Goal 7, to Ensure Environmental Sustainability, with a target to “Achieve, by 2020.

Many civil society organizations were liberated to make their contributions to the study and development of these areas.

Egypt has taken an interest in recent years to develop these poor areas as it allocated many billions for slums development.

Social work, through professional practitioners, plays an important role in the study and development of these slums.

This study seeks to provide a model for planning social developmental projects in these slums areas.
