This article deals with the future of American foreign policy in light of the American society's fear after the events of 11 September and the wars that the United States has waged against terrorism.

Studies have shown that most Americans feel a state of anxiety and insecurity because of the policy pursued by American governments to eliminate terrorism, which causes an increase in the world's hatred of American society.
