The research aimed to identify the attitudes of rural women towards participating in extensional activities in the district of Sharqat / Salah al-Din Governorate in general, identify the correlation between rural women's attitudes toward participation in extensional activities in Salah al-Din Governorate and between some independent variables represented by (age, marital status educational level, agricultural information sources, the profession practiced by rural women), and to identify the most important obstacles that facing the rural women during participating in extensional activities.

For the purpose of obtaining the data related to the research, a three-part questionnaire was approved: The first part relates to the personal information of rural women, the second part includes a scale to measure the attitudes of rural women, consisting of (30) items, while the third part consists of (10) items explaining the obstacles that facing the rural women towards participating in extensional activities.

After confirming the apparent validity of the questionnaire, the Reliability was measured using the Alpha-Cronbach method, and the coefficient of Reliability was (0.85).

The research included all rural women in the district of Shirqat and its villages, which number (822) rural women distributed on (6) agricultural villages within the district of Shirqat, where a stratified random sample was taken from them (20%) and by 164) a rural woman.

The results showed that the majority of the female respondents were attitudes toward participation in extension activities, which is neutral and tends to be negative, where their percentage reached (92%), and the results showed that there is no significant correlation between rural women's attitudes toward participation in extension activities and between (age, sources) Agricultural information), while it showed a significant correlation between the attitudes of rural women towards participating in extension activities and between (the educational level, the social situation, and the profession practiced by rural women).

And the paragraph (conflict of roles (wife - mother - housewife - working woman)) won the first rank with an arithmetic average of (1.527) The most important findings of the research reached from the conclusions that the respondents, despite their limited participation in the indicative activities, but their attitudes towards participation in those activities are neutral, as we conclude that (the educational level, profession and social status) of the respondents has a major role in their attitudes towards participation in activities and also play a large role In increasing the motivation of the respondents towards participating in the indicative activities, as for the age of the respondents and their social condition, we conclude that this does not hinder their participation in any indicative activity.

Among the most important recommendations is to pay attention to all programs on guiding rural women with extension participation and the necessity of engaging them in extension training programs related to developing their skills in all areas of agriculture
