الملخص الإنجليزي

Twenty eight Awassi ewes average body weight 53.53 ± 1.29 kg and aged 2-3 years with their lambs were used in this study to evaluate the effect of protected methionine and lysine in milk yield and compositio, ewes were allocated after birth into four groups, first group (control) ewes were reared standard ration during pregnancy and lactation periods, second group ewes were reared standard ration supplemented with protected methionine and lysine (2.5 + 2.5 gm /ewe/day) during pregnancy period then switched after birth to standard ration only, third group were reared standard ration during pregnancy period then switched after birth to standard ration supplemented with protected methionine and lysine (2.5 + 2.5 gm /ewe/day) during lactation period, fourth group ewes were reared standard ration supplemented with protected methionine and lysine (2.5 + 2.5 gm /ewe/day) during pregnancy and lactation periods.

Results were indicated no significant effect of treatments in milk yield, but milk fat increase (P<0.05) in T3 5.74% as compared T2 4.58% , protein, lactose and solid not fat percentages were increased (P<0.05) in T4(4.66, 6.82 and 12.35% ) as compared T1 (4.26, 6.25 and 11.36% ) respectively, also lambs total weight gain increased (P<0.05) in T4 14.11 kg compared T1 9.57 kg.

Also it was noted that protected methionine and lysine supplementation led to significant increase in serum biochemical traits especially total protein, triglyceride, glucose and this effect was differed according the period or stage of lactation Twenty eight Awassi ewes average body weight 53.53 ± 1.29 kg and aged 2-3 years with their lambs were used in this study to evaluate the effect of protected methionine and lysine in milk yield and compositio, ewes were allocated after birth into four groups, first group (control) ewes were reared standard ration during pregnancy and lactation periods, second group ewes were reared standard ration supplemented with protected methionine and lysine (2.5 + 2.5 gm /ewe/day) during pregnancy period then switched after birth to standard ration only, third group were reared standard ration during pregnancy period then switched after birth to standard ration supplemented with protected methionine and lysine (2.5 + 2.5 gm /ewe/day) during lactation period, fourth group ewes were reared standard ration supplemented with protected methionine and lysine (2.5 + 2.5 gm /ewe/day) during pregnancy and lactation periods.
