The research includes two essential points.
The first point "the exclusion suffered" demonstrates how the hero of the play feels marginalized because he is not treated according to his merit.
His personal worth is denied; he is deprived of his rights to live properly.
The basis of his problem lies in the presence of others, which is a constraint for his rising.
He is thus invaded by a deep sense of worthlessness and helplessness and lost in a world to which he no longer belongs. In the second point "the exclusion chosen", we try to show how the hero opts for exclusion as a defense mechanism against disillusionment.
This mechanism hardens him and creates a carapace protecting him from the threat of others.
الملخص FRE
La présente recherche se propose d'aborder l'exclusion dans "L’Exil" de Henry Montherlant.
Elle comprend deux points essentiels.
Le premier point « l’exclusion subie » met en relief comment le héros de la pièce se sent marginalisé parce qu'il n’est pas traité selon son mérite.
Sa valeur personnelle est niée ; il est enlevé tout droit de vivre convenablement.
La base de son problème réside dans la présence d'autrui qui est un frein à son épanouissement.
Il se trouve donc envahi d'un profond sentiment de dévalorisation et d'impuissance et égaré dans un monde auquel il n’appartient plus.
Dans le deuxième point « l’exclusion choisie », nous essayons de montrer comment le héros opte pour l'exclusion comme un mécanisme de défense contre la désillusion.
Ce mécanisme l’endurcit et lui crée une carapace le protégeant de la menace d'autrui.
