ABSTRACT This article presents a brief summary of the policies that have transformed the education sector under the AK Party governments.

Since AK Party has placed education high on its agenda, for the first time in the history of the Repulic, education is the highest-funded sector.

Within this period, international fundamentals have been integrated in the education system and education has become more science-based, free, accepting, democratic and based on human rights.

The relation between education and student has been applied to the modern time, the physical and technological foundations of schools have been developed, the realm of the private sector within education has been increased, and the beureucratic nature of education has been replacd with rationality.
