It is one of the basic criteria in evaluating universities and recognizing them at the academic level.

The research aims at identifying the current reality of the faculties libraries at Wasit University and diagnosing the main problems that negatively affect the performance of these libraries.

The researcher used the analytical descriptive method.

The researcher used the direct observation, interview and field visits of the libraries as data collection tools.

The researcher's findings revealed the weakness of material and human resources in libraries in general, The research recommendations provide the most important elements of the success of the libraries of the building and provide a number of professional workers and the development of sources of information to increase the effectiveness of performance.
