The case study in this research: the Squatter Settlement in AL- Ameen district – new Baghdad, which was in origin as an army camp before the 2003.

And we study how it changed during short period of time (Via satellite images); the land was filled with disoriented buildings that not meet the designing and planning criteria of cities, but the planned renovation from the inhabitants themselves as appropriate With other neighborhoods Later.

The study has reached a number of conclusions including the prevention process, and for the existing settlements, a number of alternatives can be developed as the location, social services, infrastructure, Transportation, etc.
