Romanesque art looks at itself as the successor of Romanesque Art in terms of diagnose and focus on human elements of artistic composition and sculpture in particular.

Romanesque art emerged and settled first in Rome, and then outspread in Western Europe, calling for adapting the Roman approach in sculpture.

However, the essential difference is the existence of Christian concepts that impose certain vision on art aspects in terms form and content.

Another factor that played a major role in thought and belief which influenced the sculptural forms and values was the arrival of the abstract and imaginary Irish influence with comers from northern Europe to join the Christianity preached by Pope Gregory the Great with his baptismal missions.

Thus, Romanesque sculpture was created as a result of a mixture of two trends: Christian art in content and an expressive and imaginary art in form.

The research has focused on the study of a group of sculptures to identify the sculptural and expressive values that characterized those sculptures and gave them privacy and uniqueness on the one hand, and which allowed them to appear and exist in the churches on the other hand.
