The aim of the study is to find out the impact of the historical introduction in developing historical concepts and values among second intermediate students by verifying the validity of the following null hypotheses which are designed by the researcher.

the researcher used experimental design i.e.

quasi experimental (experimental and control groups) with both pre and post tests.

The researcher chose the random sampling method for the boys at Iraq Secondary school to apply the experiment.

The sample reached to (60) students by (30) students in each group.

An equivalence has been done between the two groups in the number of variables including (Pre-test for developing historical concepts and value scale , academic level of achievement for parents, students' scores in history of the previous year and Intelligence quotient(IQ).

The researcher used historical concepts test which the total number of items is (50) of multiple choice and each item has four alternatives.

It has been verified the validity and reliability of the tool.

The researcher used T- test of two independent samples which are equal in number, and the T-test of two interrelated samples, the results of the research are led to the superiority of the experimental group on the control group in the posttest and the development of historical concepts in the experimental group in the favor of the control group.

In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended using the historical introduction in teaching the Arab Islamic history because of its impact on the development of historical concepts.

In addition to this study, the researcher suggested further studies on the impact of the historical introduction on other variables such as achievement, critical thinking and historical thinking.
