الملخص EN

University students are the distinguished section and the country wealth.

The students got researchers‟ attention since University stage is an important one in youth life.

Due to the students‟ exposure to different changes in society and being more affected by incoming modernity, so students‟ compatibility with the latest period has to be developed to enhance ( concept of modern man).

This needs to develop general intelligence abilities for individuals using modern methods because nations‟ goals cannot be fulfilled unless we depend on general mental capacities.

The present research answers the following questions considering them as research goals: 1- What is the tendency level towards modernity (classical, transitional and modern) for university students? 2- What is the level of various intelligences for university students? 3- Is there any correlation between tendency towards modernity and various intelligences for university students? The research is limited to study tendency towards modernity for university students and its relationship with various intelligence level for both sexes ,third stage only for the academic year (2015-2016).

Confirming present research objectives, the researcher built up a measurement for tendency towards modernity where three levels were limited according to (Inkles & Smith) theory which are (classical, transitional and modern),the researcher figured out several types of truthfulness( external truthfulness, logic truthfulness & construction truthfulness) and stability indicators using retest method which reaches (0,76),(0,90) for Cronbach's Alpha Equation and for(0,90).The measurement applies on a sample of (400) male female students to analyze items using two extreme groups method and the relationship with total mark which is(69) items comprises tendency measure towards modernity in its final form out of (72)items.

The researcher tackles a measure (Rasheed, 2006), for various intelligences which identified eight types of intelligence (linguistic, logical, dynamic, visual, social, subjective, Natural and musical) for the final form.

The research applied sample comprises of (400) male & female students of 3rd stage which is chosen randomly with harmonized method, male were (220) and female were (180) students distributed according to specialization (scientific & humanity) .

The Data treated statistically using T-Test for one sample.

The T-Test for two independent samples and Person correlation factor and amended standard mark.
