The companies' need to globalize and internationalize their websites so as to increase their profits has resulted into a huge demand for translation and localization services.

This study endeavors to explore some of the techniques used in translating the textual content of some marketing websites.

It has concluded that a wide range of translation techniques is used along with a tendency to preserve the content of the original text and to adapt some products' characteristics to the norms of the target culture in order to shun any embarrassing situations to the target public.
