The purpose of this study is to identify the conciliatory settlement of the crimes of customs smuggling, a comparative study, and highlight the role of the Jordanian Customs Law in the statement of its effectiveness as a guarantee of the protection of the Kingdom from the crimes of customs smuggling.

Is reconciliation in cases of customs smuggling against the society the protection of the economy, The validity of the trial procedures in the crime of customs smuggling has necessitated the nature of this study to reach the desired results by following a comprehensive approach between descriptive method appropriate to identify the concepts involved in the study, where the study reached the following important results: - The civil responsibility for the crimes of customs smuggling includes the original actor, the partner, the intruder, the instigator, the holder of the smuggled materials, the owner of the means of transport used in the smuggling, the driver and his assistant, the owners or tenants of the shops or places where the smuggled materials were stored or used.

- The fine is punishable by a fine and then a fine that is called civil compensation.

The smuggled goods or the equivalent of their value shall be confiscated with the fees if they are not seized, as well as confiscation of the means of transport used in smuggling or the value of 50% On the value of the mode of transport and recommended the study to: - Raising awareness of the seriousness of the crime of customs smuggling in dealing with the General Customs Department.

- The tightening of some penalties for some smuggling crimes to be more effective in the prevention of these crimes in the future, and be more deterrent to the perpetrators.

- The penalty of imprisonment shall be established as an original penalty with a fine.
