The aim of the research is to study the effect of Washback on the progress of the educational process from the students’ point of view.

The study followed the descriptive and analytical approach to find out the effect of Washback on the cognitive achievement of a sample of foreign students who are learning the Arabic language.

The most important results of the study: Most of the students did not agree that the Washback of test had a negative impact on their learning of the Arabic language.

It was also evident that the test anxiety factor was present on most of the sample.

Although the majority of the sample members did not agree with the idea that the Washback of test had a negative effect on learning, on the other hand, they did not state the positive effect either, as the students ’opinions were swinging.

This indicates the importance of conducting other studies that investigate the impact of test Washback in another way, or in another field different from the field of foreign language education.
