This research seeks to identify the correlation between resilience and self-compassion among outstanding middle school students and the differences in the level of gender-based positive resilience.

The study includes two groups.

The primary group is used to calculate the psychometric fficiency of the study tools.

The primary group includes 30 male and female students in the middle stage.

The basic sample of study includes 60 outstanding students, 28 males and 32 females between 12 and 14 years old, who are selected intentionally from the middle schools in Alexandria.

These students’ IQ ranges between 120- 130 according to The Mental Abilities Test prepared by (Farouk Mousa, 2002 ).

The results show a significant correlation at the level 0.1% between resilience and Self- Compassion of the outstanding students in the middle schools.

Students’ Self- Compassion increases when resilience increases.

The study also shows significant statistical differences on the level of positive resilience between males and females favoring females.
