الملخص EN

This study was conducted in the poultry field belonging to the Department of Animal Production, College of Agriculture, Al-Qasim Green University for the period from 8/10/2018 to 12/11/2018, in order to study the effect of adding ginger powder and vitamin C and their mixture to the diet on some productive traits for broiler chickens.

In the study, 270 chicks of unsexed broiler chickens (Ross 308) were used at the age of one day, with the rate of the primary weight of 42 g.

The chicks were randomly divided into 6 treatments, each treatment included 3 replicates, with a rate of 15 chicks per replicate.

where the first treatment (control) was free of addition, The second and third treatment included adding ginger powder with a concentration of (600, 800 mg/kg feed), respectively.

The fourth and fifth treatments included adding vitamin C at a concentration of (300, 400 mg/kg feed), respectively.

The sixth treatment included adding a mixture of (ginger powder 750 mg/kg feed + vitamin C 350 mg/kg feed).

The results showed a significant improvement in all adding treatments, where it contributed significantly (P <0.01) to improving the average of weekly and final body weight, weekly and total weight gain, and weekly and final feed conversion ratio compared to the control treatment.

The sixth treatment chicks achieved the best productive performance compared to the rest of the additive and control treatments, where chicks achieved at the end of experiment (35 days) the highest average weight of the live body amounted to (2225.33 g), the highest cumulative weight gain amounted to (2183.33 g), the best feed conversion ratio amounted to (1.51 g feed / g live weight), and the lowest feed consumption amounted to (3298.33 g / bird).

We conclude from this that the addition of ginger powder and vitamin C and their mixture to the feed of broiler chickens has a positive effect on improving the productive traits of the broiler chickens.
