The current research aims to (evaluate the Arabic language textbook for the first intermediate grade in the light of comprehensive quality standards) through the following question: What is the level of availability of comprehensive quality standards in the Arabic language textbook for the first intermediate grade? In order to achieve the goal of the research, the researcher adopted the descriptive (survey) approach as a method for his study, as the research community consisted of male and female teachers who teach Arabic language in intermediate and secondary schools in Babil Governorate, and the researcher used the intentional sample.

This was in order to be representative of the study community.

As for the research tool, it was a questionnaire containing the comprehensive quality standards of the Arabic language textbook for the first intermediate grade, which was prepared by the researcher after referring to the sources, literature and studies that dealt with the comprehensive quality standards of the textbook and the researcher made sure of its validity after presenting it to a group of experts.

The researcher confirmed its stability by re-applying the questionnaire to a sample of male and female teachers, and then the researcher applied the questionnaire in its final form from five areas (introduction, content, goals, evaluation, language and artistic output).
