Despite the introduction of authentic documents, literary support remains an essential tool in teaching French as a foreign language.

However, the mastery of the latter's code represents the main key that lets the teacher be capable of exploiting his classroom.

This work proposes a study which deals with the capital importance of teacher training in the use of literary aids in teaching French as a foreign language.

Its main goal consists of checking its contribution, its strengths and also its limits.
