This article analyzes the determinants of infant mortality in Algeria, based on the multiple indicator cluster survey 2012-2013.
mortality varies according to place of residence, urban areas offer better chances of survival for children.
differences according to the territorial programming areas are noted, significantly higher in the south and the hauts plateaux-center than in the north center.
in this context, the role of the authorities is to reduce geographic disparities in terms of access to reproductive health and family planning services.
الملخص FRE
Cet article analyse les déterminants de la mortalité infantile en Algérie, à partir de l’enquête à grappes à indicateurs multiples 2012-2013.
la mortalité varie selon le lieu de résidence, le milieu urbain offre de meilleures chances de survie pour les enfants.
des écarts selon les espaces de programmation territoriale sont relevés, nettement plus élevée dans le sud et le hauts plateaux-centre qu’au nord centre.
dans ce contexte, le rôle des autorités est de réduire les disparités géographiques en termes d’accès aux services de santé reproductive et de planification familiale.
