الملخص EN

There is no doubt that the Islamic religion is the religion of purity and cleanliness with its precepts and laws, since it encourages a Muslim to cleanse his body, his clothes, and his environment.

A Muslim must always have clean body and clean clothes.

The position of Islam on dogs has become one of the most important issues of modern times, since the dog is one of the oldest domestic animals known to man and is by nature a social being.

Most Muslims have a negative attitude towards dogs, basing their position on some legal opinions and traditions.

In this study, the researcher tried to show that this topic is very complex and divided.

For example, the controversies promoted by those who support the uncleanness of dogs were based on the authenticity of the hadiths received, and opponents of dog uncleanness cited the explicit verse in the Holy Koran as strong proof of this, the correctness of their position and the existence of a misunderstanding about the impurity of dogs.

The researcher pursued the analytical study by studying the teachings of ancient and contemporary jurists, analyzing their opinions, and refuting them with evidence to arrive at the correct point of view or at least approximate the different points of view.

The doors of Ijtihad in Islam have not been permanently closed, as in every age the mujtahids and innovators are present.

It is therefore essential to provide realistic answers to the needs of Muslims today.

The fatwa, as it is called and followed, varies with time and place as well as the surrounding circumstances.

Today, health conditions differ significantly from those of the past and the level of hygiene of individuals and societies.

One of the most important findings of the research carried out by the study is that a distinction must be made between the contamination of a dog and its breeding and possession at home.

The impurity of dogs differs in this, and it is permissible to imitate one of the schools of thought in this regard, such as the teachings of Imam Malik.

About raising dogs and keeping them in houses without the need to do so (e.

g.

guarding, hunting, or plowing), most of the scholarly doctrine is forbidden due to the strength.
