The study of minorities in Iraqi society is considered one of the most important studies because of the impact of the issue of minority rights on the social and political stability in Iraq, given that the issue of minorities is linked to the characteristic of diversity and national heterogeneity, whether racial, religious or linguistically, as it is one of the most important factors of instability within Iraqi society.- This research examines the diversity of ethnic and sectarian minorities and the identity of national affiliation and cultural conflict.

The purpose of this study is to explain the role of minorities in the stability of the nation state.

The Kurds of Iraq took a large part of this research because of their great influence on the instability of the state The researcher used the historical and descriptive method, which dates back to the past and describes the events through it.
