This research aims to identify the effect of a formal shrategy based on the theory of Congnitive burden on developing Critical thinking among fifthgrade literary students in the subject of natural geography to achieve this the researcher adopted the experimental design with partial Control, with two experimental groups and the control groups, which is one of the scientific research methods used in educational and psychological research the researcher identified the research Sample for the fifth grade literary students in Alkindy High school for Boys, who numbered(60) students for the academic year 2019 2018 As the first chapter dealt with the research problem it's importance purpose hypothesis and limits defining terms and the second chapter dealt with theoretical aspects Previous studies and the balance of previous studies.

The third chapter dealt with the research methodology and it's 1 procedures.
