الملخص الإنجليزي

The study aimed at knowing the effect of Cube Strategy on the achievement and development of Contemplative Thinking of fourth scientific grade students and developing their formal.

To achieve this objective, three null hypotheses have been formed.

To examine the validity of the hypotheses, a sample of (82) students has been chosen from the scientific fourth grade in Al-Seddeeq secondary school for boys in Mosul for the school year (2019-2020).

The sample is divided into two groups the first one is the experimental group and the second one is the control group consisting of (42–40) students respectively.

The two groups have undergone to equivalence process in variables of (intelligence, achievement of Mathematics during last year, achievement average during last year and the Contemplative thinking).

The experimental group has been taught according to Cube Strategy, and the control group in the traditional method.

The researcher has prepared the essential requirements of the study such as specifying the scientific subjects, forming the behavioral objectives of the specified subjects, preparing the teaching plans, and the traditional method for both the experimental and the control groups.

The study required two tools, the first one is represented in an acquisitive test in Mathematics, formed by the researcher, consisting of (12) objective test items multiple choices.

the second tool is the formal thinking test represented by Researcher which consists of (20) testing items.

The researcher was content to work out the validity and stability of the two tests.

The difficulty level of the test and the differentiability of its items have been worked out and all of them were within the acceptable range of difficulty and differentiability, also the effectiveness of the wrong choices of the items.

The experiment has been applied starting from the first semester of the school year (2019-2020).

It started on (7/10/2019) and finished after applying the two tools (the acquisitive test and the post- formal thinking test) on (12/1/2020).

Collecting and statistically analyzing the data by using T- test for two independent samples, the researcher have reached the following results: There is a statisticaldifference between the two groups of the study in achievement of Mathematics and development of Contemplative Thinking for the sake of the experimental group.

In the light of the obtained results, the researcher has come to a number of conclusions such as the ability of applying the strategy of Cube in teaching Mathematical for the students of the scientific fourth grade.

The researcher has put forward a number of recommendations such as offering training courses for the teachers of the Mathematics in the secondary schools to enable them to use the modern models and strategies such as Strategy of Cube.

Finally, the researcher came up with some suggestions for future studies.
