The universities are one of the important educational institutions that play a prominent role in the life of societies as well as its responsibility to lead the scientific renaissance and expand the horizons of knowledge and dissemination through its interest in scientific research and addressing the problems facing society and the development of solutions to it.

The mental motivation is a condition that qualifies serious inventions to solve problems in different ways It seems that traditional methods are not the only way to solve them, and mental motivation is based on the fact that everyone has the ability to think creatively and the biggest role is on the educator to generate mental abilities within the individual to use them.

The current research aimsto identify : 1-mental motivation in the teaching of the Faculty of Basic Education.

2-Significance of the difference in mental motivation in the teaching of the Faculty of Basic Education according to the gender variable (male - female).

3-Significance of the difference in mental motivation in the teaching of the Faculty of Basic Education according to the variable certificate (PhD - MA) 4-Significance of difference in mental motivation when teaching basic education college according to the specialization variable (scientific – human) The researcher adopted a scale (Nazir Haroun Khalif) for mental motivation and after verifying the cytometric properties of the scale of the truth through the honesty and the veracity of the construction (discrimination of paragraphs, and the correlation of the degree of each paragraph to the total degree of the scale) and the stability of the scale was obtained in two ways: 0,81), and the extraction of Alpha Kronbach coefficient and reached (0.86) which are good stability coefficients, the scale was applied to the research sample consisting of (200) teachers of the Faculty of Basic Education.

The results were as follows: 1-The pedagogy of the basic education pedagogy has a level of mental motivation 2-There are differences of statistical significance in the mental motivation in the teaching of the Faculty of Basic Education according to the variable gender (male - female) for the benefit of male teachers.

3-There are differences of statistical significance in the mental motivation in the teaching of the Faculty of Basic Education in accordance with the variable certificate (PhD-Master) for the benefit of doctoral students 4-There are differences of statistical significance in the mental motivation in the teaching of the Faculty of Basic Education on the basis of variant variable specialization (scientific-human) for the benefit of trainees with scientific specialization
