الملخص الإنجليزي

Dhi Qar province is considered one of the first Iraqi cities whose people have embraced cultural activity in thought and practice, as its people are passionate about cultural innovations in poetry and prose, and its intellectuals have been keen to keep pace with the images of cultural maturity all over the globe.

Among these images, the press stands as a creative state, and the people of Nasiriyah and its writers tried to emulate it and imitate its concepts in reading and writing, as the creators of Nasiriyah tried to make the local press look like a clear mirror that reflects the cases of cultural and scientific creativity and monitors the weaknesses and defects that may afflict society and its segments.

Accordingly, the Islamic press in Nasiriyah represented one of the forms of purposeful culture that made the media side a platform through which it was able to document the bonds of communication with the religious establishment in Najaf, and it also gave the Nassiriya press the advantage of inclusiveness and pluralism, from a general cultural press to a partisan political and to a religious guidance.

In light of this, the Journal of Islamic Solidarity, which was produced by the religious and scientific forums of Nasiriyah in the mid-sixties of the last century, was described as one of the realistic images expressing the ideological and intellectual diversity that has drawn on the cultural and media landscape of this southern city, which was known for its longstanding and abundant intellectual and literary production.

Based on that, this research comes as an attempt at historical and analytical documentation of what characterized this journal and as an observation of a creative, foundational stage for the Nasserite press and its media pens.

The research centered on three directions, the first axis came to give historical glimpses of the media and journalistic scene in Nasiriyah by introducing the most prominent newspapers that were produced by the creative forums in Nasiriyah, with the introduction of the most prominent pens and journalist who worked hard to write through those newspapers.

While the second axis came to shed light on the literature of Islamic theory in the writings of Al-Tadamun magazine, by introducing the integration of that theory and its ability to lead society towards integration and advancement.

The magazine clarified that theory through a succession of journalistic columns with a purposeful and calm style.

In addition, the magazine's follow-up of the Islamic reality in all parts of Muslim countries was through writings that inform the reader and follower of the Islamic societies in the world, their ways of life, the nature of their practice of their religious rituals and their public life, which is what the third axis of the research is concerned with.

In harmony with the aforementioned, it is said that the Journal of Islamic Solidarity, which was published in Nasiriyah, truly represented the tongue of the rising and growing Islamic trend at that time, and under intellectual and political conditions that were characterized by frenzied attempts to weaken that movement from carrying out its message and keeping it from keeping pace with the public life of Muslims
