This study aims to investigate the contingencies of the hermeneutic probability in the Qur'anic text when it is transformed from the oral mode to the written one leading first to the split in terms of intentions (the Establisher's.

and the reader's) and second to the switch in the epistemological code and the conceptual (linguistic) one from the being of the audible uttered (hearing-based) to the being of the readable written (sight-based) as well as the shift from system of sounds to the system of signs.

The research opens the door wide for the hermeneutic probabilities and the change in the Arab peoples' universal views in the light of these changes.

The study builds its hermeneutic approach on the theory of phenomenal Knowledge.

Moreover it adopts a concept called 'hermeneutic time' that gives the opportunity to reformulate the idea of multidimensional interpretation (interpreting the present of the past interpreting the present of the present and interpreting the present of the future); it illustrates the differences between these hermeneutic modes.

The concept of hermeneutic time also makes available a further dimension of interpretation namely interpreting the present of the present and the present of the future; both interpretations linked to the future universal view which integrates into every new interpretation because it shapes a hermeneutic view that is constantly growing and creating a kind of standing-together-interpretations rather than conflicting-with-one-interpretations.

Consequently the Quranic text will be given an opportunity to be an open book for the whole world rather than a closed one.
