Despite the fact that every philosopher has his own viewpoint about it, the concept of truth remains relatively ambiguous.

In the present study, two- middle-ages saints' perspectives of this concept will be investigated; by those I refer to St.

Augustine and Thomas Aquinas.

We have come to the conclusion that Aquinas, as usual, starts objecting to the views of philosophers prior to him, refutes theirs, and then comes up with his.

For instance, concerning whether the truth exists in the mind or outside it, Aquinas found that Augustine had argued that the truth lies outside the mind, not in the mind, but when we dig deep into Augustine>s views, we find him saying that the truth constitutes images that exist in the individual's mind.

Moreover, in terms of the truth and goodness, Aquinas rejected Augustine's stand to advance the goodness over the right (which is a wrong assumption made by Aquinas).

However, and contrary to Aquinas' view, Augustine does not take this stand; he makes the right advanced over the goodness.

Another conflicting view between the two saints is that of the absolute truth where Aquinas holds that Augustine does not attribute it to Allah; which is not the case as well.

Augustine refers the absolute truth in all its details to Allah.

Finally, as for the last debatable problem between the two, it is concerned with whether there is one absolute truth or more; Aquinas here also considers Augustine to advocate the view that there are more than one truth; which is not the case as well; Augustine speaks of one absolute truth whose source is Allah.
