The present study aims at addressing the issue of corruption in Third World Countries during Neo-Colonialism.

The study focuses particularly on Political Corruption that had an impact on mankind and different societies over history.

Political corruption is the abuse of using power by the people who are in authority under the constitution for their personal gain which questions their social choices and values.

This issue could be measured by its consequences on the society as it contributes in several problems such as poverty, unemployment, ignorance, spread of diseases, political unrest and etc.

Such an issue will be examined through an analysis of A Man of The People 1969 by the Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe.
