Recent years have witnessed a growing concern for safety and highlighted the importance of organizational commitment to safety practices within organizations.

It is essential that attention is given to technical, managerial, organizational and regulatory aspects with regards to systematic management in health issues and occupational safety.

Occupational accidents in the workplace are taken seriously all around the globe.

This research is pioneer research undertaken in power and water plant in Saudi Arabia.

The main aim of the study is to enhance the organizational commitment in the workplace through the application of an intervention program that sets leading indicators for leadership.

This study deals with the setting of leading indicators for the leadership team.

The time duration for study execution and monitoring was over two years.

The tools of the research were face to face interviews and workshops for participants in which they were engaged in order to understand their point of view.

The workshops were conducted to support them in the development of useful leading indicators.

Furthermore, the researchers had access to sites and documents in which data were stored for support of effective leading indicators development.

140 employees out of 220 participated in the study.

The results of the study show apparent enhancement in the „organizational commitment.
