Syria, like other countries in the world, suffers from the effects of climate change, which are reflected in the limited and weak availability of water resources, their spatial inconsistency, and the inability of these resources to meet the increasing demand resulting from the increase in population size on the one hand and the increase in economic activity, especially in recent years.

Syria is due to the low efficiency in the management and use of water resources, the increase in evaporation rates due to the geographical location, and the lack of water resources needed for irrigation in the agricultural sector, which is a mainstay of the national economy in terms of its contribution to securing the food needed for large numbers of the population and the production of a large number of raw materials and agricultural products Which is used in manufacturing processes or exported abroad.

This study also deals with ways to rationalize water use in various fields, foremost of which is the field of agriculture, and how the Syrian water policy can meet the challenges that have been imposed on it, especially since there is a gap between water resources and the increasing needs, which showed that the essence of the problem often lies in the misappropriation And resource consumption, not in scarcity.
