This study aimed at examining the concentration technique in very short story as a grammatical rhetorical study and chose the collection of “Between Two Cries” by the Jordanian Narrator Hanan Beruti in order to achieve its objectives in which this technique was embodied.

The study subject was addressed in two aspects; a theoretical aspect that sought to identify the concept, function and features of concentration, and a practical aspect based on examining the text of the very short story in the manner of grammatical rhetorical study in order to identify the techniques, forms and functions through which concentration was represented in the text.

The study aimed to show the grammatical and rhetorical features in the concentration technique of the very short story through dividing the study into topics that displayed the concentration technique at the structural, semantic, rhetorical and stylistic levels.
