The current research aims to answer the following questions: Identify the relationship between cognitive flexibility and academic achievement (Achievement) by: 1- The level of cognitive flexibility for high school students.

2- The academic achievement level for high school students.

3- The relationship between cognitive flexibility and their score in the achievement test.

And to achieve the goals of this research, the researcher built a measure of cognitive flexibility and an achievement test that applied the two tests to a sample of middle school students / the fourth scientific class in Nineveh Governorate / Governorate Center for the academic year (2019-2020), numbering (200) students, and after collecting information And statistically processed, the research reached the following results: 1- Cognitive flexibility is generally (good) compared to the theoretical average of the scale and this gives a positive indication.

2- There is a statistically significant difference between the sample mean and the mean for the achievement test and in favor of the sample mean.

3- The presence of a positive and significant correlation between cognitive flexibility and achievement.
