The current The current research aims to define "the effect of teaching with productive thinking skills on the acquisition of geographical concepts and self-efficacy among students of the fifth literary grade The current study was conducted in Iraq / Karbala Governorate, Torrij District.

The researcher chose the experimental method and adopted the experimental design with partial control.

The research community was the government secondary and intermediate day schools in the governorate of the holy city of Karbala Governorate, Torrij District.

The researcher selected literary fifth-grade students as a sample for the current research.

The researcher rewarded between the two research groups some of the variables that might affect the effect of the experiment and the results were that the two groups were statistically equivalent.

The researcher used the appropriate statistical methods for the research procedures, including (T-test for two independent samples, Kay square, Pearson correlation coefficient, Ease of coefficient, Discrimination coefficient, and effectiveness of alternatives.

The results of the research showed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in the acquisition of geographical concepts, and the self-proficiency scale.

In the light of the research results, the researcher came out with a set of conclusions, recommendations and proposals for research complementary to the current research
