Astudy was conducted at the lath house, Department of Horticulture and landscape design / college of Agriculture/ University of Kirkuk / Shurao ,during October 2017 to April 2018, The study included Effect three different growth media : (loam100%, loam50%:peat moss 50%, loam50% : pine bark 50%) on growth and flowering of three Dendranthema cultivars Dendranthema grandiflorum: Pitt white(white flowers), Hanks yellow (Yellow flowers) and Blanchett orange (Red flowers), the experiment was designed according to complete block design (R.C.B.D) as a Factorial experiment in split plots with three replicates ,Duncans multiple used to test the differences between the means of treatments at the 5% level.
The following results were showed : 1- the different growth media was not significant in all studied traits, except number of Inflorescences (102.77) inflorescence.
plant-1 increase in the medium (loam +peat moss).
2- Contrast cultivars significantly in all studied traits ,Pitt white superiority in giving the highest rate of plant height(18.94)cm, number of leaves(776)leaves.plant-1,dry weight of the total vegetative (7.27)g, number of inflorescences (117) inflorescence.
plant-1, while Blanchett orange gave the highest total chlorophyll content in leaves (43.50) CCI ,but it took the least days to flowering (6.41) days, highest dry weight of inflorescence and total roots (0.034,4.10) g respectively.
3-Interaction between cultivars and different growth media have a moral effect in the improvement of growth flowering and root, Pitt white significantly increased plant height(19.38cm)and dry weight of the total vegetative (7.66)g at the mediam (loam), while the same cultivars and the mediam (loam+pine bark) gave the highest number of leaves (797) leaves.plant-1,number of inflorescences (121) inflorescence.
plant -1 in the mediam (loam +peat moss)of the same cultivar, Blanchett orange and the mediam (loam+peat moss) gave the highest total chlorophyll content in leaves (44.58) CCI, early in flowering (6.06) days, dry weight of inflorescence(0.036)g respectively in the mediam (loam +pine bark) of the same cultivar, but Hanks yellow gave the highest dry weight of total roots (4.56 g) in the mediam (loam+peat moss).
