الملخص EN

The aim of this study is to see how the Dicto-Comp technique affects the writing skill of Iraqi EFL intermediate school students.

To achieve the purpose of this study, a two-month experiment was conducted using the pre-test, post-test and control- experimental groups design.

The population involved the second-year at males middle schools in the downtown area of Kerbala at the academic year (2018-2019).

Two groups were randomly selected from Mumen-Qureish intermediate school for males to represent the sample of the study.

One of these groups, with (33)students, was randomly assigned to be the experimental group (taught with the use of Dicto-Comp technique) and the other, with (32)students, was assigned to be the control group (taught by the prescribed method).
