Fiqh is a ijtihad issued by Islamic scholars to issue relevant regulations for current circumstances.

fiqh was originally used to resolve the issue pertaining to worship.

but currently, it has been used in other areas including the development discourse.

to see the discussion of fiqh in the development, this paper analyse the application of fiqh that has been discussed in contemporary perspective.

qualitative analysis show that fiqh application in the development discourse were conducted in the development related metters such as economic, politics, civilizations and society.

thus, fiqh is seen as a knowledge that has potential to be applied comprehensively in various human affairs beyond the boundary of time.
