This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of the system of storage and retrieval of documents in the General Company for the management of private transport through the application of the accuracy and retrieval scale.

The study used the analytical descriptive approach and the case study methodology to collect, analyze and evaluate data on the storage and retrieval system and to indicate its suitability to meet the needs of the beneficiaries.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are: 1- Failure to organize documents in a scientific and correct manner has made it difficult to obtain the required documents quickly and accurately.2- Dependence on personal judgment and not rely on criteria in the process of dipping and retrieving documents.

The study also made a number of recommendations, the most important of which are: 1- Use of key words and non - duplication in the selection of terms when indexing based on lists of subject headers.2- Development of the conservation system currently used in the sections of the company through the adoption and use of an electronic archiving system to accommodate all documents to reduce the time and effort spent in the process of retrieval.
