Fiscal decentralization directly engages local authorities in themanagement of public affairs and it is required to contribute to the achievement of local development.
The shortcomings and inequalities of the current tax system necessitate areform oriented towards a model of financial independence.
In this orientation our article, aiming to address the subject of the financialindependence of local authorities in Algeria via an analytical study based on a diagnosis of the distribution of local taxation, then we identified as suggestions the elements likely to improve the financial situation of local authorities, in particular: -Review and enhancement of local taxation; - Streamlining of investment procedures at the local level.

La décentralisation fiscale engage directement les autorités locales dans la gestion des affaires publiques, et s'impose pour la contribuer à la concrétisation d'un développement local.
Les insuffisances et les inégalités du système fiscal actuel nécessitent uneréforme orientée vers un modelé d'indépendance financière.
Dans cette orientation notre article, ayant pour objet d'aborder le sujet de l'indépendance financière des collectivités locales en Algérie via une étude analytique basée sur un diagnostic à la répartition de la fiscalité locale, puis on a identifié comme suggestions les éléments susceptibles d'améliorer la situation financière des collectivités locales notamment: -Révision et valorisation de la fiscalité locale.
-L'adoption de la décentralisation et l'encouragement des initiatives objectives locaux.
-Allégement des procédures d'investissement au niveau local.
